Headphones On

I try not to expect anything anymore when I go see live music. I am usually bored, usually tired of the same old thing. It's been awhile since a band I'd never heard of offered my ears that little something different to tickle their fancy. It makes me sad because once upon a time I used to enjoy seeing live music. I used to enjoy standing in the back of Schubas or the Empty Bottle and witnessing something with just a little magic.

Last week I stood in the back of another local showcase and finally heard an unknown band with a chance at doing something interesting and different. They've got a chance here to not follow the herd straight into Tuesday night's at Elbo Room in front of their girlfriends and the sound dude...
