There have been complaints. People have said that having a Presidential motorcade and the Secret Service dashing about town is getting in the way of business. Eh. Personally, that doesn't bother me so much. I'm much more concerned with the noticeable chill in our air since our Senator was elected to highest office.

This town appears to have grown into it's own over the past few months of the spotlight. People on the street are a bit more relaxed. Has our Second City syndrome finally been laid to rest? It's time that the city can walk along with it's head held high. Maybe my neighbors are as thrilled as I am that when traveling overseas that we will longer hear "Oh You're from Chicago? Al Capone! Bang Bang!".
